Its shortened sole and open hindfoot area are designed to deliberately alter the foot’s rolling motion—ideal after an injury or procedure when hindfoot support is not desired. The high shaft and hook-and-loop fasteners allow a comfortable fit, even when bandage volume changes.
The MÜNCHEN black hindfoot offloading shoe is a symmetrical therapy shoe that can be worn on either foot for temporary use. Its semi-flexible 5° wedge sole, without hindfoot support, shifts the load forward and can help protect sensitive areas around the heel and hindfoot. The shortened sole alters the foot’s rolling motion—an advantage when you need a defined degree of offloading while walking.
Important for everyday use: the breathable, washable upper material and washable construction (up to 40 °C) make hygiene easier—especially when worn for extended periods. The open toe area with a low perimeter edge provides room and reduces pressure, while the adjustable internal volume, thanks to the hook-and-loop fasteners, ensures a secure fit even with swelling or bandages. The EVA insole with a soft surface also provides a comfortable feel. The solid EVA sole can be individually adjusted by grinding and/or bonding—useful when finer adjustment is required.
