Description
The VISCOLUX pressure relief cushion with Air-Mesh/PU combination cover was designed to make sitting in a wheelchair or on other seating surfaces noticeably more comfortable while relieving pressure. It is intended for people at increased risk of pressure ulcers, as well as for caregivers and facilities that need reliable pressure ulcer prevention and support with treatment in everyday care. Its anatomically contoured seat helps maintain a stable, secure sitting position, even when seated for long periods.
At the core of the VISCOLUX pressure relief cushion is viscoelastic molded foam that conforms to the body and thereby reduces pressure peaks in the seating area. This is especially important when prolonged sitting puts strain on sensitive areas and the skin needs protection. The anatomical shape provides a precise fit, while the raised front saddle contour stabilizes the sitting position and helps prevent the user from sliding forward—a common problem when core stability declines or sitting is restless.
The PU combination cover with an Air-Mesh seat combines easy care with a comfortable seating climate: it repels moisture, is mite-proof, and resists blood and urine, making it suitable for use with incontinence. The zipper and carrying loop make the VISCOLUX pressure relief cushion easy to handle in everyday use. It is suitable for pressure ulcer prevention for people at moderate risk and for supporting treatment up to and including Category II (according to EPUAP).
