The Walk On Reaction lower-leg orthosis is designed to enable a largely physiological, symmetrical gait. Its anterior design reliably guides the foot during heel strike, significantly reducing uncontrolled “foot slap.” This makes walking safer, especially over longer distances or when muscle strength declines.
Made from prepreg carbon fiber, the orthosis works dynamically: it can absorb energy during the gait cycle and release it again as the toes lift off. This supports knee extension during push-off and can make the overall walking pattern smoother. Its slim, lightweight design is also comfortable and discreet inside the shoe. The shin pad with integrated fasteners, made from climate-regulating material, provides added comfort: it is skin-friendly, washable and replaceable when needed. The trimmable sole makes it easier to adjust the orthosis to the shoe, which is important for a stable fit and everyday use.
